Past Life Regression
‘OVERWORLD heralds a new aesthetic in high art: maximalist, freely mixing high and low references, unapologetically feminine, silly rather than stern, but thoughtful’
– RealTime.
Deep Soulful Sweats is an open invitation for anyone and everyone to come together, let go and exorcise through exercise. It’s participatory contemporary art. It’s immersive ritual. It’s community creating.
Throwing back to OVERWORLD presented at Next Wave in 2014, Past Life Regression is a nostalgic morning ritual at MPavillion Parkville. Deviating from their usual high BPM events, Deep Soulful Sweats will ease you into the weekend with gentle stretches, movement and unfolding choreography accompanied by OVERWORLD the album and DJ’d by A.r.t Wilson.
Framed by a tongue-in-cheek approach to the zodiac, you will be divided into elements based on your star sign. Once grouped with your fellow kin (Earth, Air, Fire, Water) you will be guided through an astrological dance. Ecstatic and inclusive, this session will be a joyful, surprising and exhilarating experience for anyone and everyone.
