LAB Reflections: Seeking to Care in Vic Market

This video is a recollection of a 'Seeking to Care' exploration of Queen Victoria Markets in Narrm/Melbourne undertaken at All School LAB in May 2024.

Artistic Director Lucy Bleach and Kickstart artist Georgia Lucy rose to the challenge of co-delivering a Seeking to Care exploration that transcended timezones – with Georgia on the ground in Narrm and Lucy joining digitally from Norway.

Seeking to Care was a unique workshop/meeting of minds, created by Next Wave's eight Artistic Directors from across the country, specifically for All School LAB.

Participants explored narrm ngarrgu Library and surrounding areas in small groups led by an Artistic Director – re-imagining Next Wave’s Curation as Care model through conversation and playful provocations.

Notes

Georgia and Lucy are both based Lutruwita/Tasmania. Lucy will be mentoring Georgia throughout 2024–25 as part of our Kicktart program.

As you can see in this video, they make a great team.
